Terms and conditions of sale
These terms govern orders placed on this site. We sell by click & collect: you reserve online, you collect and pay at the brewery. Nothing is paid online.
1. The seller
Borderline Brewery SRL
29 rue du Paquis
6750 Mussy-la-Ville, Belgium
Company number (BCE/KBO): 1028.996.784
VAT number: BE1028.996.784
Email: contact@borderlinecraftbeer.com
2. Scope
These terms apply to every order placed through the site's cart form. By confirming your cart you accept them. They may change; the version that applies is the one online when you place your order.
3. Adults only
The sale of alcoholic drinks is strictly reserved for people aged 18 and over. By ordering, you confirm that you are. Proof of age may be requested on collection, and the goods refused without it.
Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health. Drink responsibly.
4. How an order is formed
You build your cart, choose a collection slot and confirm the form. You then receive, by email, a confirmation together with a numbered order form listing the items, quantities, prices and the slot you chose.
That order form is not an invoice. It stands as a reservation: the goods are set aside in your name. The sale is concluded on collection, at the brewery, against payment.
We reserve the right not to fulfil an order that is plainly abnormal or placed in bad faith.
5. Prices
Prices are in euros, all taxes included, Belgian VAT included. The binding price is the one shown when you confirmed your cart, as repeated on your order form. There are no delivery charges: there is no delivery.
6. Payment
No payment is taken online, and we never ask for bank details by email. You pay on site, on collection, in cash or by banking app.
7. Collection
Collection takes place at the brewery, at the address above, during the slot you chose. Ring the front door if nobody is about.
If you cannot make it, let us know and we'll agree another time, with no deadline. That is the only thing we ask of you.
Without news from you, the reservation lapses the day after your chosen slot and the goods go back on sale. Our beers are brewed in small batches: a crate set aside is a crate someone else goes without. You owe nothing and lose nothing — nothing was paid — and you can order again at any time.
8. Changes and cancellation
You may change or cancel your order free of charge and without reason, at any time until collection. An email to contact@borderlinecraftbeer.com, or a reply to your order confirmation, is enough.
As nothing is paid online, a cancellation gives rise to no refund: there is nothing to refund.
9. Right of withdrawal
The fourteen-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply here: the order placed on the site stands as a reservation, and the sale is concluded at the counter, in the simultaneous presence of both parties, against payment.
This takes nothing away from you. The cancellation right described in clause 8 is broader: it runs until collection, unconditionally, free of charge and with no formality.
10. Conformity and complaints
You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided by the Belgian Code of Economic Law. If an item is faulty, does not match your order, or a container is damaged, tell us promptly: we replace or refund.
Our beers are living products, some unpasteurised. Keeping them cool and away from light, and respecting the date on the container, is part of the ordinary care expected of you.
Complaints by email to contact@borderlinecraftbeer.com. We answer as soon as we can.
11. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned. It does not cover the consequences of inappropriate consumption of our products, nor cases of force majeure.
12. Personal data
The data you entrust to us for an order serves to prepare it, keep you informed and meet our accounting obligations. It is neither sold nor passed on. Details in our privacy policy.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of a disagreement we look for an amicable solution first: write to us.
Failing agreement, consumers may refer the matter free of charge to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 box 1, 1000 Brussels — consumerombudsman.be). The courts of the district of Borderline Brewery SRL's registered office have sole jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer's right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.
